BidSyncTM creates a true procurement powerhouse to serve the public and higher education procurement markets and the vendors who supply goods and services to them.
As a leader in the government eProcurement industry Periscope connects a vast network of vendors and suppliers called the Periscope Supplier Network (PSN) to agencies and organizations in need of products and services within the BidSync solution. The PSN is the only network specifically geared to the public sector and higher education organizations. PSN participating suppliers are focused, knowledgeable, and experienced with the public sector and higher education market segment. The PSN supports over 90,000 buying organizations that include city, county, state agencies, non-profits, and higher education institutions. Almost 1 million suppliers, ranging from small, minority, women, veteran, locally-focused businesses to large corporations encompass the network.
At all levels, these public sector organizations face the overwhelming challenge of doing more with less. Budgets are tight, resources are stretched thin and the scrutiny of government spending is now heavily impacting the acquisition process. Organizations needing to leverage their stewardship of public funds against best procurement industry practices are turning to the cloud to find solutions that will optimize resources, budget allocations and time, while also improving the ways they source and purchase.
Product Overview
The BidSync Source solution will provide agencies with the ability to purchase most of the products and services required by the agency and any partner agencies in a secure manner that will result in:
- Leverage the power of the Periscope Supplier Network and reach out to any vendor registered with the service and commodity codes identified by an agency in a solicitation
- Lower prices through real-time on-line competition among multiple vendors (some of our customers have seen a greater than 25% off the cost of requested goods and services).
- Administrative cost savings through paperless electronic bidding and streamlining/re-engineering business processes (some of our customers have seen an immediate savings of 90% in productivity within the time of creating and maintaining the procurement processes).
- Any agency utilizing the BidSyncTM platform has the ability to search bids posted by other BidSync agencies and leverage their work by cloning previous bids, saving time and effort.
- Real-time price comparisons and analysis.
- Enabling procurement professionals to focus more on strategic business issues and less on managing the tactical aspects of the procurement process.

Two-year initial term and first annual extension
effective 2-1-18 through 2-28-21.
Currently extended through 1-31-22.
